I actually took this picture a while ago, but I found it today in my "Texture Reference" folder.  I love the contrast, the shapes, and yes, the texture of this photograph.

I went to college to become an artist, but since graduating, I've not done much art at all.  But that's going to change!  Here is a sketch I did yesterday of my sister.  What do you think?  It's not perfect by any means, but I'm just pleased that I actually completed a portrait.  I plan to do a lot more artwork starting now!
